Our New Years

For New Years we went to Bahia de Los Angeles. It's been an entire year since I've been there. That's an all time record! We thought we were going to be alone this trip, but we had a surprise. We had some friends drop in and it was fun to have them with us. Our friends Michael and Amy were there. Michael really looks like Santa Claus.

We went off roading to Playa Rafael to see Pancho to give him his Christmas present. I took a picture in his chair made out of a Sperm Whale skull. We tried to fish but we didn't catch anything. There was a dead coyote on the beach. He had big, sharp and pointy teeth. That same night we got back to town and all of our friends met us and came to our camp.

The next day we went off roading again. It was fun to go up and down the dirt roads. We saw a lot of cool mountains and rocks that were shaped like people. We went to two beaches I've never been to before. We ran into a fisherman who got his van stuck. On the way out Dern was teasing me that there were dead bodies in it. Everyone started teasing me that it was a mortician's van. Mom had to explain to me what a mortician was. Our friend Mike pulled the mortician's van out and I gave him some Christmas cookies.

The New Years Eve dance was at Casa Diaz and it was really cool. I was going to pull an all nighter but I began to get cold and tired so I ended up pulling an all nighter in the truck watching movies. Dern tried to wake me up at 11:30. I woke up but fell back asleep so he figured I was too tired and he didn't push it.

When I woke up it was 2006. Mom and Dern said that they tried to wake me up but I just couldn't do it. We all went back to the trailers where I watched a little more dvd before going to sleep.

On New Year's day I swam in the Sea of Cortez. I thought it was going to be less cold but it wasn't. The little brown fish started to bite me, but they don't really bite you, they eat your dead skin. They're really cool looking.

Then it came time to go the next day. It was funny cause Charlie tried to hide from mom cause he knew the only place left to go was back to Morro Bay. We got him in the truck and we left.

We went to Patchen's cabin and then to Ralph and Pat's house who live in Catavina. Ralph gave me a space rock called a Meteorite. It's really cool. It will make a compass hand spin.

We ended our trip back home in Ensenada. It was really fun but I want to go back cause it feels like you only spend an hour there instead of days.
