Thanksgiving

Last Monday I wore my 4H uniform to school because I helped present four baskets to our principal. The baskets were filled with food and Thanksgiving supplies for four needy families that go to our school so that they could have a nice Thanksgiving dinner. One of my friends didn't have her uniform because she was out of town and didn't get the message, so I let her wear my hat and scarf. That is why I'm only in my 4H sweatshirt. I didn't forget my uniform, I was just being nice and let Erin borrow my stuff.

We had a really good Thanksgiving dinner at our house. It was the three of us this year and we had a lot of nice food and two pies. I called my family and wished them all happy Thanksgiving. I played with Mateo and then called my friends to wish them a happy Thanksgiving.

I'm thankful for a loving family and a nice house and a nice safe neighborhood that we live in and all of my nice friends. I'm thankful for my school. I'm thankful for my horse and my dog. I'm thankful for Baja and all my friends and family that live down there.

Playing with Gracie

Tonight I was having fun with Gracie. She has an empty half of a soda box in her cage. She likes to chew on the cardboard. I was coming down from my playroom and heading to the office when I passed by she started to growl at me and throw her box around.
I started to play with her by touching her soda box when she moved to the other side of her cage. She didn't like that so she went back to her box and started to throw it around, acting all tough.
Then I started touching her blanket while she was on the other side, and she would rush over and bite her blanket and rough it up.
Mom and I were worried that she would fall off of the blanket and hurt herself, so we pulled back the blanket to where it should be and got a paper towel.
I wadded the paper towel up in a ball and put it on the top of her cage. She ran up to the top and threw it off on to the ground. Then I let her grab it and play tug of war. She did a quiet growl that is more like a grunt.
I put a chair up next to her cage and sat in it to watch her. She is not leaving the part of her cage that is close to me. She sits on the edge of her open door and looks at me.
I'm not fast enough to touch her tail or she would bite me. She makes farting noises when my mom or dern touch her tail.
We were having a funny night playing with Gracie.

Honor Roll

On Thursday I had my Parent/Teacher conference. My teacher said that I'm a very successful student. My lowest grade was a C+ in Spelling and Writing. My teacher also told me that I got on the honor roll. As long as I keep my grades up I won't have to go to the next conference and I'll stay out of summer school so I can have another fun summer this year. My teacher and my principal said that there are honor roll dinners. I don't know anything about them.

Pumpkin Carving

Two Fridays ago Mateo and I made a jack o lantern out of one of our pumpkins. He was bummed cause he wanted to use it for a football, but instead we agreed to use it for a jack o lantern cause that would make less of a mess. We did it all by ourselves without any help.





It was lots of fun and we roasted the seeds. I hope everyone had fun carving their own pumpkin!

My School Parade

My school had a parade for Halloween. My mom took me and my neighbor. They had cupcakes at the end. Here we are with my school principal. He was wearing our school mascot cosutme.

My Gum Grafting

A couple of weeks ago I got my gum grafting done. I got out of school early and we went to my doctor's office. She told us what she was going to do, then gave me a lot of shots and then she began to do everything. A while later we were done. My mouth was feeling very sore. We went to Jamba Juice and then we went home. I rested for a while. Then, accidentally I sucked to hard on my water bottle and my mouth started to bleed so we had to go back. When we got there she put me in the chair and instead of numbing me first she gave me a shot. She fixed me up and we went home and I slept for the rest of the night.

I got to stay home from school for two days. The doctor said I should stay home and rest. A week ago I went back to the doctor's office and got my stitches out. I still have to wear my mouth guard, but only at night.

I am still having to eat soft foods. In one more week we go back so the doctor can check me out and take pictures. I'm having this done for braces.

4H

On Monday night we had our first 4H meeting of this year. The bonfire party we had at the beach didn't count for a meeting. I won more awards Monday night. I got a club level pin for Community service, then a flashlight for the next level and in the end I got a calculator for being the top 4H member in our club to do community service. I tied with the leader from last year. I also got a gold seal on my report book and a first year ribbon and pin. It was a proud night. I hope you enjoy my pictures.

Our Bread Baking Sleepover Weekend.

This weekend I had one of my friends from my old school stay the weekend. She came for my school carnival on Friday night. We had a lot of fun there and she stayed the night Friday. On Saturday we woke up and her mom called and she asked her mom is she could stay again. She and I made zucchini bread and had Domino's Pizza for dinner. This afternoon I watched Mateo for his dad. We all made banana bread. I hope everybody had a great weekend!

The Crow Attack

Today while my mom was in the house she heard a noise. It ended up that the crows were attacking our stuffed one that we have on our mailbox. He's now missing a bunch of tail feathers and looks even more like a Halloween crow. Here's a picture of what ended up happening to our poor stuffed crow.
