My Summer Plans 2007

Yesterday my brother Connor was here. He spent the night to hang out with us. I really appreciated him making the drive up here and I really liked hanging out with him, it was fun.

This morning my mom had an appointment and I had a playdate and I got to hang out with my friend Jackie who is moving to Florida soon, and my brother left around ten thirty.

Tomorrow we are heading off to Mexico and we will be there until the 29th of June. After that my mom and I are flying to Texas to visit my Nana and my horse. My mom will stay with me and my Nana for about a week, then she will return to Mexico.

Nana and I will fly to San Diego on the 17th of August. I will either go with my dad or go with my Nana back down to Mexico. I will not be able to write another blog until the end of August.

At that time I will write again about my summer. By the way, we've let our frogs go, they are living in our pond. Junior is still here. He is not eating egg, dog food or cheerios any more, but likes slugs and worms. He is fat and happy. The frogs are really happy and glad to be out of the small, little tank that they were in cause we had no other available tanks.

I hope everyone has a good summer and I'll write again on the 27th of August.

Grades-Last Day of School-Junior

Today was the last day of school so we got our report cards at the end of the day. I was very happy because I got all A's and B's and one C+.
Here are my subjects and grades:
Reading B
Writing C+
Spelling A
Mathematics B
Social Studies A
Science B
We also had Game Day today and the whole school had a class picnic lunch where we had hot dogs and watermelon and got an extra recess. It was a really fun day and now it's summer! I really hope everyone has a really nice summer and I'll be writing a few more blogs before I take off for the summer. Everybody who wants to see what I'm up to in the summer, check on in cause I'll be doing my blog from where ever I am.

Update on Junior:
Junior is what we are calling the baby bird that is still here. He now is eating by himself sometimes but we still feed him breakfast, lunch and dinner to make sure he is growing up strong. He's now liking to land on people's shoulders which worries us so we are trying not to play with him anymore. People are walking in our neighborhood and he is trying to land on them and they think they are being attacked. He's also trying to be pretty sneaky and comes in the house and lands on our parrot's cage. We'll keep on updating you. His feathers are turning grown up colors and we found out that he is a Starling.

Here he is taking a bath in our tadpole pond. He takes about four baths a day!

Our Bird Friend

Three days ago when mom and Dern got home from the store a baby bird flew down and landed on Dern's head. It has been here for two days now. It can fly pretty good, but hasn't quite learned how to eat all by itself. We've been helping it out with cutbugs, worms, and soaked cheerios and dog food. Dern made it an egg and it really liked that. We weren't going to tell Mateo next door, but when I was over there yesterday it flew down and landed on my head. Now they know about it too. We are trying to not let it hang out with us too much so it won't become tame, but it's hard to get away from it. It follows us everywhere. I hope you enjoy the slideshow. If you click in a picture in the slide show it will get bigger.

4 - H Field Day

On Saturday we went to 4H Field Day. We saw some kids showing their cows. Some other kids showed pigs. There were also goats, rabbits and chickens there too, but we didn't check them out. We spend most of the time watching the cows and pigs. There was a room with all the displays. There were animal science posters, arts and crafts, bird houses, science and a silent auction. Next year I am going to enter into it. There was a chicken BBQ and at the end we got a giant pumpkin seedling that we are going to plant in our garden. I hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday!
