Cody's Summer Update

This is Cody's mom, attempting to update her blog, keeping you up to date on her adventures in Texas. We had a tough time getting her Nana's computer to cooperate with us while I was there, so the post we made in Texas was lost in cyberspace somewhere.

I'm in Mexico now, trying it again. The difficulty I have this time is that the blog page is all in Spanish, so with my handy dictionary I'll cross my fingers and hope to press the correct button to post!

I've been talking to Cody nightly, comparing the "best parts of our day" as per our nightly ritual. She's been busy with her friends Faith and finally Bailey has come to town. The rains have stopped for the most part, so the girls set a date for their annual bake sale, part of the proceeds will be donated to Nana's church this year. Last year they gave a nice donation to the volunteer fire department.

She's been busy collecting frogs at Nini's house and relocating them to Nana's in hopes that they will decide to live there instead. Last night she told me of the largest frog so far, the size of the palm of her hand.

She's ridden her horse "Ducie" once. She is still too young and too green to be trusted under Cody, so the neighbor's horse, "Grandpa Horse" is scheduled to be delivered any day now for a rest of the summer sleep over. Cody will be able to ride Grampa as she did last summer while Nini rides along with Ducie.

She says that time is going by too fast there. She loves it and is having a great deal of fun. I will be away from computer access for a bit, so another update may be a while in coming. Cody asked me to tell everyone to have a good rest of your summer and she loves you all.
