My First Day of Fourth Grade

Today was my first day of Fourth grade. It was a little hard cause I was really nervous. The day before my grandma had to leave and I was really sad. The day she left she bought me a heart shaped alarm clock. When ever I turn off my alarm and set it for the next morning I think of my grandma.

The night before school started while we were grocery shopping I asked my mom if I could get my teacher some flowers. She said yes and my stepdad drove us to Albertson's. I chose some yellow daises.

My mom and step dad took me to school this morning. We were really early so we walked around school and then went back to the truck for a little bit. Then we found my teacher on the playground. I gave her the flowers.

My teacher is a really nice lady. Most of my friends are in the other class, which I was disappointed about, but my best friend Theresa is in my class. I really think I'm going to like fourth grade. I was also really glad to see my teacher from last year.

I think I'm going to have a really good second year at Del Mar!

My Time in Texas!

Hi, I'm back from Texas. I had a really good time hanging out with my grandma and my old friend Bailey.

Bailey and I rode bikes, watched movies, went swimming and sometimes ate dinner together. About in the middle of the trip Bailey and I put on a bake sale. There were cookies, chocolate chip, sugar and peanut butter. There were fudge brownies, nut, marshmallow and plain brownies too. My grandma mostly made all of it. From the money I collected, I donated $10. each to the fire department and to the church for poor people.

My grandma has a Long Horned Bull. His name is Samson. He's only a baby bull, but his horns are each about as long as my arm. Samson lives at my Aunt's neighbor's house. He is being trained to be a rodeo bull.

Sometimes my Aunt would come with us out to lunch. My Aunt looks out for an old lady. Her name is "Miss. P." She lives at a nursing home. The nursing home was really cool. I liked going there, specially when my grandma let me bring her cat "Charles". When we bring Charles to the nursing home he walks around on his kitty leash and says hi to the old people. Everyone really loved him.

When I was there my Aunt surprised us with a kitten named "Dexter".

Mostly every night, unless we got home too late my grandma and I would watch a movie together. After movies each night before we went to bed my grandma and I would say prayers and she would ask me the best part of my day. Then we'd say good night.

My grandma and I drove back to California. We left on a Monday and on Wednesday we stopped by my dad's for the night. The next day we drove to my house.

All in all I had a really nice trip and wish that I got to spend more time with my grandma, my aunt and my uncle.
