Our Bird Friend

Three days ago when mom and Dern got home from the store a baby bird flew down and landed on Dern's head. It has been here for two days now. It can fly pretty good, but hasn't quite learned how to eat all by itself. We've been helping it out with cutbugs, worms, and soaked cheerios and dog food. Dern made it an egg and it really liked that. We weren't going to tell Mateo next door, but when I was over there yesterday it flew down and landed on my head. Now they know about it too. We are trying to not let it hang out with us too much so it won't become tame, but it's hard to get away from it. It follows us everywhere. I hope you enjoy the slideshow.
